On to Epcot

Well the kids slept reasonably good last night. Trevor was up a little before 8am Florida time, but I told him we had to wait until at least 8 to get everyone else up. Because we had ridden to Epcot on the monorail that first day we were in Disney, he at least could picture where we were going today. And like everyone else, he also identifies it as "the big golf ball".

We decided to take our time getting over there, and didn't make it in to Epcot until almost 10, but it was obvious due to the cold (high was about 50 degrees) or simply the general low level of crowds that we weren't going to have to wait long to get on any rides. We went on the newest ride Soarin' which is an Imax-type show of main areas in California. You ride on a seat that hangs your feet free so it feels like you are in a hang-glider. They even blow wind into your face. It wasn't a ride that Gwen could go on, so Trevor got to ride twice.

After that ride, we went on a tour of the land talking about new developments in growing fruits and vegetables. At least we went through a warm greenhouse.

By that time we decided to walk over to the Japan area for our lunch reservation. MAN was it cold. We were the first table seated for lunch. Trevor loved it as he did at Benihana. He had 3 servings of shrimp. Gwen enjoyed the noodles and a little bit of rice we had. The show from the chef was very good.

Gwen fell asleep on our way out and slept while we went around the rest of the countries. We ran into Mulan and Mushu in China and Trevor got a kiss that was seen for the rest of the day. We tried to go over to Test Track, but it had broken down and from what we could gather, it was going to be down for the rest of the day.

We then went over to the Nemo ride and afterwards went to Turtle Talk with Crush. It was very cute. Trevor then wanted to watch the 3D show "Honey, I shrunk the audience." We were in between shows, so we rode on the Journey to your Imagination which talked about all your different senses.

Before the show started, Gwen was getting very restless. But we made it through, and Trevor wasn't too happy about the big snake scene, but he dealt with it as he always does. Even with the glasses off it was very obvious what the picture was, and still pretty scary for him.

The last ride we went on was Spaceship Earth at about 4:15. And then we went back to the hotel. We made it "all day" without a break. Being that it was so cold it was pretty unmotivating to want to leave our hotel if we had gone back for an afternoon break. I'm very glad I changed our reservations from 8pm to lunch that day. No one would have been able to hold out that long.
