Boston part two

Let me first say that I did not mean to leave Tracy out of the "thank-yous" I did on the previous post. I wanted to thank her in a different way, but now thinking about it, it just made it sound like I wasn't appreciative of the help she also gave to us while watching or holding or playing with Gwen and Trevor. So THANK YOU to Tracy as well for helping us manage the kids while we were in Boston. In addition, Thanks to Tracy for letting us tag along and suggest places to go and things to eat. It was a lot of fun to visit!

And about the visit.....I think I mentioned that the first night of sleeping went very well for Gwen. She was asleep by 10:15 Boston time which is early for her. She slept until 7:00 and then went back to sleep until 9:45. Trevor went to sleep after Gwen did, and was up for good at 7:30 but had woken up a few times during the night. So we got up and had their buffet breakfast. I love love love omelets. Trevor had a good breakfast after not really having the chance to eat much the day before. As we had to eat on the plane, have some snacks from walgreens, and then eat dinner at Applebees.

We went back to the room after breakfast and Gwen was still asleep. So she eventually got up, where we then all walked up to the walgreens to pick up a few things. BOY was the weather pleasant compared to both Minnesota below zero temps as well as the sun following the rain from yesterday. We came back to the hotel and before we knew it, it was time to head to the next game.

So we were all decked out in BC gear (pictures to come) and were happily there for the entire game that day. BC won again, 4-0. And Gwen slept through most of the game. After the game, the Eagles had a free skate in which Trevor was able to ride around with Tracy (no skates this time) and we decided to go to Legal Seafood to eat dinner. It was a little more spendy than Applebees, but you HAVE to have seafood when you are on the east coast.

So we made a reservation and booked over to the restaurant after the game and free skate. Gwen was out like a light, and when we finally were seated at the restaurant, Trevor got goldfish to eat ate the close to the entire bag, and started nodding off at the table. So he went over and laid down on dad's shoulder where he was asleep within a minute. He did wake up after he had been passed to Derek and then to Grandma when the food arrived, but he asked to be moved back to dad, and he was. I had yummy double stuffed shrimp. It was baked shrimp stuffed with crab meat. AHHHHH.... Russ had the lobster, but I think everyone had a great meal. We even got dessert.

But by the time we got back to the hotel, it was after the time that the pool was open. Because Gwen had been napping well during the day, that meant that she was going to be up later and earlier then in the morning. But what can you do?

The final day was pretty quick. We figured we had to be out of the hotel at 10:45 to catch the 1:00 flight. We grabbed breakfast, and then McD's at the airport, and then had to get on a completely full flight. Thank goodness this flight was also reasonably on time. Trevor was still very tired from the whole weekend, so his attention was pretty short. Gwen thankfully slept through most of the flight.

We took our time getting off the plane and down to the luggage area, so it was waiting when we got there. I think we were finally in the door at 4:15 or so? Maybe it was a little later than that. But all-in-all it was a great trip. I'll post a few pictures at a later time.

So THANK YOU to Tracy for letting us come out and interrupt your life for the weekend! It was great to see you and can't wait to see you hopefully next month!
