"I had so much fun"

It is really cool to hear Trevor say these things. He now has a way to express his thank you to anyone that does anything for him. Granted, he doesn't really know he is doing it, but it is one of my favorite things to hear from him. He says it when someone comes over to play with him, he says it if we go and do something, sometimes at a restaurant (Like Majors for Daddy's birthday party last week), and we got it again last night.

We went out bowling.

Now he has played it on the Wii so he knows what it is all about. He knows strikes, spares, rolling the ball. And when Russ and I went out for date night and came back and told him about it, he said next time he wanted to go with. So last night we went. He is to young to actually put his fingers in the holes of the ball and roll it "correctly" but he can lug around the 6lb ball and walk up and heave it down the lane. We used the bumpers so he could see lots of pins knocked down, and even got one (or maybe two, I don't remember) spares. He also enjoyed walking next to us when it was our turn to bowl. When it was his turn, he would take his ball, walk quickly to the line, heave it down the lane and run back to back where everyone else was standing to watch his ball roll. He could have done it all night. We played two complete games and he wanted more.

Lucky for me, I got some coupons good for free games next time, so we can stay a bit longer. But we did get a big "I had so much fun bowling" comment as well as a "I'm going to go bowling again tomorrow" request.

On another note: There is a rumor floating around that they are going to make another Cars movie. It would have to be after the current Toy Story 3 that is due out in 2010, so that will make Trevor 7 years old, probably 8 if it releases in 2012 or so. I don't doubt that he'll still be into Nascars, I hope he won't be too cool to see a cartoon. Maybe Gwen will have to inherit all of Trevor's cars, so she'll be the perfect age for the movie - 5 or so. I guess we'll just have to see.

How funny that he learned real bowling on a video gaming system! And who says video games aren't good for something?!?!?
